Dr Inġ. Simon Paul BorgTreasurer
Dr Ing. Simon Paul Borg is a Mechanical Engineer by profession, currently employed as a full-time Senior Lecturer in the Faculty for the Built Environment at the University of Malta, where he is involved in both teaching and research on a number of engineering aspects including building services, energy-efficiency in buildings and ventilation and indoor air quality.
Prior to perusing his academic career, Simon Borg also held a number of engineering positions in a number of public sector entities including at Enemalta Corporation, Wasteserv Malta Ltd. and the Malta Resources Authority.
Simon also acts as a consultant on energy-efficiency matters to a number of local Authorities, apart from being a registered Energy Auditor and Energy Performance of Building Assessor. Simon Borg holds a Master Degree on Renewable Energy Systems Technology from the University of Loughborough and a PhD in Mechanical and Aerospace Engineering from the University of Strathclyde, Glasgow, UK, with a specialisation on Combined Cooling Heat and Power in energy-efficient residential buildings in warm climates.
