Following the formation of the Ministry for Research, Innovation and the Co-ordination of Post Covid-19 Strategy, the Chamber of Engineers immediately highlighted its commitment to support Research & Innovation policy and action in Malta given the key role played by Engineers in this regard.
The Chamber of Engineers is publishing a strategic document entitled “Strategic Recommendations for Research and Development and Innovation in Malta”. The scope of this document is to provide a set of holistic recommendations to sustain and advance the Research and Development and Innovation scene in Malta. This event followed from the setting up of a committee made up of Chamber of Engineers executive members and leading stakeholders in the industry including The Malta Chamber, Malta LifeSciences Park and the Chamber of Scientists. The Malta Council for Science and Technology (MCST) were also invited as observers. The paper can be accessed here.
This document is expected to lead to a more detailed strategic vision that the Chamber of Engineers feels compelled to promote in view of its key stakeholder role in representing engineers in Malta.
