The Chamber of Engineers has received a reply from the European Commission following the CoE’s correspondence on the various concerns related to the revised Engineering Act.

The Chamber of Engineers, following members approval at the EGM held in December 2019, had proposed various changes to the draft revised act. The European Commission in its reply laid down clearly the EU legislation which are supposedly being breached by the current Engineering Profession Act. A reply from the board on these proposals, which ultimately need to satisfy the Commission’s demands, is still to be received and our members will be updated accordingly once we have more information.
