|Extraordinary General Meeting 2015|
During the Annual General Meeting (AGM) of Friday 27th February 2015, it was decided that an Extraordinary General Meeting (EGM) should be held in order to address a couple of pertinent issues which could not be addressed during the meeting in February. The first issue relates to the decision taken by council regarding the introduction of the role of a permanent international secretary. According to the AGM minutes, this had to be discussed in detail at council level and reported during this EGM. The second issue was the introduction of a legal advisor in accordance to the latest revised statute. The council had to find a legal advisor which would then be approved by members during this EGM.
An EGM is therefore being called for 26th November 2015. The meeting shall be held at the Professional Centre, Gzira at 1800hrs. Please note that only paid up members are entitled to vote. Membership fees will be accepted before the meeting commences. The following is the agenda:
1. Introduction by the president
2. Appointment of legal advisor
3. Decision by council on the position of Permanent International Secretary
4. Discussion on items 2 and 3
5. Discussion of motions, amendments and counter motions.
Please note that any motions proposed by members (and seconded) should be submitted in writing to the General Secretary by the 19th of November. Members are strongly urged to attend this EGM.
