Annual General Meeting 2014

The Annual General Meeting for 2014 will be held on Friday 28th February 2014 at 5.45pm at the Professional Centre, Gzira.

As you are aware, the Council  had introduced the postal voting system for the CoE elections 2013. The aim was to encourage more members to participate in the election of the Council Members of the Chamber. This system proved to be successful.

Members are advised that nominations for Council elections 2014 closed on 24th January.The voting document, together with an explanatory letter, will be sent by  post two weeks prior to the Annual General Meeting.

Voting documents that are submitted by post must be returned to the Chamber of Engineers by latest noon of the 25th February.  All voting documents will be placed in a sealed box and opened only during the AGM at the counting stage of the election.

Your active participation at the AGM is important as we shall review the past year’s performance and achievements while discussing our future objectives.  All members are encouraged to attend.

Kindly note that only those members who have paid their 2013 and 2014 membership subscription shall be entitled to vote as stipulated in Clause 11.7 of the Statute.  Membership fees will be accepted before the meeting commences.

  1. Reading and approval of minutes
  2. Matters arising
  3. Correspondence
  4. President’s address
  5. Treasurer’s report
  6. Motions and amendments to the Statute
  7. Election of Auditors
  8. Other matters
  9. Election of Council Members  (Opening of Voting Session)

Motion/s should be forwarded to the Chamber’s Secretariat at least one week prior to the AGM for such proposals to be discussed during the meeting.
