Annual General Meeting 2019 E-mail

The Annual General Meeting (AGM) is again around the corner. The importance of this annual meeting cannot be overstated. It gives an opportunity for members to review the operation of the Chamber of Engineers and to elect new members on the executive council.

The AGM will be held on Friday 22nd February 2019 at 5:45pm. In preparation for this, a nomination form is being attached which must be duly completed and sent together with a 200 word profile and a passport size photo to the Chamber’s Secretariat by not later than Monday 14th January 2019 in accordance with the statute clause 11.5.

Kindly note that only those members who have paid their 2018 and 2019 membership subscription shall be entitled to vote as stipulated in Clause 11.7 of the statute.  Membership fees will be accepted before the meeting commences.

1. Reading and approval of minutes

2. Matters arising

3. Correspondence

4. President’s address

5. Treasurer’s report

6. Motions received

7. Election of Auditors

8. Appointment of legal counsel

9. Other matters

10. Election of Council Members (Opening of Voting Session)


Motion/s should be forwarded to the Chamber’s Secretariat at least one week prior to the AGM for such proposals to be discussed during the meeting.
